Desired Volume: If you want a natural volume boost, you might need 1 set (40 pieces). If you want Vava-Voom look 2 to 3 sets are appropriate for your full and voluminous look. (80+ pieces) 

Desired Length: If you desire length as well as volume, consider the difference between your current hair length and the desired length. For a full-head application, you may need 2 sets (80 pieces) so as to not have any gaps or see thru spots at the ends of your hair.

Hair Thickness: The thickness of your natural hair also plays a role. If you have thin hair, you may need fewer sets, while those with thicker hair might require more sets for a seamless blend.
